The TeleScope Cam

This cam probably looks boring to you but it is a very hi-tech cam. The image you are seeing is over 3 kilometres away and about 7000 feet but looks like the webcam is about 50 metres away. The purpose of this webcam is mainly for monitoring the tower and research and development.  The tower in the image supplies Whistler valley with high speed internet access and other cool IP related stuff. If the image is blurred its because my kids are running around causing minute vibrations or temperature distortion from the temperature difference from the tower to my home in the valley. The telescope was a fathers day present from my wife and kids (she wants to keep an eye on me when I am working on the tower). This cam will give us daylight remote visual monitoring capabilities and give Whistler another high-tech first. You can see that we are developing live web content technologies to cover events ( OLYMPICS hint hint ;-) or even to look at the lift line-ups on Whistler or Blackcomb.
